As the economy improves, more and more businesses will open, production will increase and the need for new HVAC equipment will grow right alongside it. A new ASHRAE and AHR Expo survey found that nearly 90 percent of HVAC manufacturers believe their expansion will continue into the new year, according to ACHRNews.
Compared to the previous year's results, confidence jumped from 79 to 87 percent in 2014. The positive numbers go beyond just expectations, as 96 percent of manufacturers are projected to see increased total sales in 2015. Further, some companies are forecasted to see more than 20 percent growth.
"What is especially interesting about this year's survey is that manufacturers are seeing bigger increases in New Construction, Light Commercial, Heavy Commercial and Data Centers," said Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Co., according to ACHRNews. "In the previous two year's surveys, they were expecting more growth from Retrofit/Renovation and Maintenance/Replacement areas."
Other indicators that ticked up this year were customers' interest in energy efficiency and indoor air quality, providing a key index for manufacturers to look into moving forward.
More orders
HVAC manufacturers will likely see more orders for advanced materials to replace older models and equipment. About 321,000 new jobs were created in November – the most in nearly three years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. As employment and wages continue their upward trajectory, expansion in 2015 is likely to be on par with this year's numbers.
This provides a great opportunity for HVAC manufacturers to market their products to businesses. More jobs mean more consumer spending, which will provide companies with additional revenue – money that can be spent on updating their HVAC services.
Additionally, with consumers' greater focus on energy-efficient materials, manufacturers will be able to offer more effective and durable equipment. In total, everyone benefits, including the environment, as businesses install advanced HVAC equipment that can reduce operating costs and carbon footprints.
New coils
The best way to rejuvenate an existing HVAC system is to retrofit it with new coils. These HVAC coils can enhance a unit's ability to perform at a high level, thus creating cleaner air in a more efficient manner. For top-of-the-line services, many companies turn to Rahn Industries for replacement coils.
Rahn has a whole host of product offerings that can revamp older HVAC units. Replacement coils can be custom-made to your company's specifications, providing you with the chance to not only fix your HVAC problems, but also to prevent future issues from occurring.
