The world's biggest conference for the HVAC/R industry takes place in Chicago from Jan. 26 to 28, and is already making waves for it's record-setting registration numbers.
ACHRNews reported this year will feature 8 percent more company exhibitions and occupy 10 percent more space than 2014's event in New York. On top of the large number of participating HVAC/R companies, nearly 400 of them are first-time presenters, meaning the Expo is reaching new heights and impacting more people and businesses each year.
2015's show will be the 67th annual event, which has long been the gold standard for those in the industry. Every type of technology, equipment and application will be discussed, exhibited and demo'd over the three-day period, with the Expo website noting special emphasis on heating, cooling, building automation, tools and instruments.
While the show is predominantly held in the U.S.'s largest cities, more than 30 countries will be represented at the conference.
What's in store
The goal of the AHR Expo is to gather the best and brightest minds of the HVAC/R and connected industries to feature new ideas that are revolutionizing how HVAC units interact with humans and buildings, particularly on a commercial level. Because much of the total consumption of electricity in the U.S. comes from commercial usage, the need to develop and implement new controls on energy efficiency is vital, which is precisely what those at the Expo are working toward.
With only a few weeks remaining until the Expo commences, companies interested in saving on utility costs and expanding their sustainability efforts should take note of the many advances made in the HVAC/R industry in recent years. Not only can HVAC systems be fully integrated with automated controls, but individual HVAC coils can be designed and coated to last much longer than previously thought possible.
And with global trends continuing to move closer toward green energy, the need to optimize HVAC systems is greater than ever, giving the businesses ample opportunities to make a commitment to energy efficiency now to remain competitive in the marketplace.
