Machine Operator Sheet Metal Fabrication - Portland, TN

Duties and Responsibilities:
Amada Brake / Sheet Metal Operator is responsible for preparing sheet metal equipment and production of parts needed for coil assembly by cutting, bending and notching sheet metal. The operator is responsible for running equipment efficiently and with safety in mind. Must read blue prints, measure and maintain housekeeping of work area.
Duties will include but are not limited too;
- Communicate to Supervisors, or management regarding all circumstances which may affect quality.
- Program equipment as per engineering specifications
- Cut material to size with minimal waste.
- Program equipment as specified on work order.
- Communicate any issues or developments identified during assembly.
- Follow daily production schedule and instructions as indicated on the work order.
- Use Measuring tape, and reading drawings.
- Required to stand for long periods.
- Repetitive upper body movement is required.
- Required to lift 50lbs.
- Adhere to all company guidelines and policies/training
- Routine maintenance/ housekeeping
- Check/Add oil when necessary
- Check belt tension
- Keep equipment and table clean of debris and foreign matter.
- Report any unsafe conditions to Safety Manger.
- Daily completion of production traveler.
